Tunisian Crochet for Beginners (at the Southern Wool Show)

I am running this workshop at the Southern Wool Show, on Sunday 31st August, 2025.

The workshop will run from 10am – 12noon.

Note that you will also need an entry ticket for the show, which you can purchase from the Southern Wool Show website.  Please contact the show organisers with any queries about show entry.

Workshop tickets are not refundable unless we are able to re-sell your ticket. If we are able to re-sell your ticket, we will issue a refund, less a £2 administration fee.

Tunisian Crochet is a fun technique – you can create some really interesting textures and effects, particularly when working with 2 colours.

Suitable for beginners (no experience of knitting or crochet required), you will learn how to cast on and work Tunisian Simple Stitch; how to increase, decrease and cast off. You will also learn to work with 2 colours (this produces lovely effects with very little effort!) You will be able to work at your own pace and learn some additional Tunisian crochet stitches if time allows.

Workshop includes yarn, stitch markers, class notes. Hooks will be available to borrow (or purchase if you wish) on the day, or you can bring your own. You will need a 5.5mm Tunisian crochet hook, 30cm long.
