Self striping sock yarn club – September parcel

Our September club parcel had an autumnal theme. We used our lovely Brecon Sock for this one, a blend of 70% Superwash Merino, 20% Yak, 10% nylon. The Yak gives the base yarn a heathery grey undertone, perfect for creating autumnal shades. We tried something different this time by combining 2 solid stripes with a variegated stripe. I really like how my sample sock turned out and I think we’ll be trying more of this style.

Our gift for this parcel was 2 Hot Chocolate Coins from Pip’s Real Hot Chocolate Company. Obviously we had to test these first and we think they are lovely!

Sock club is full at the moment. Do sign up for our newsletter if you want to know as soon as more spaces become available.

Self-striping sock yarn club – July parcel

The colour inspiration for the July parcels was our favourite summer treat – ice cream! I decided to make everyone a set of 3 stitch markers to match the colours and I also painted the image used for the stickers.

The yarn base for July was Bicton Sock, 100% superwash High Twist Bluefaced Leicester

Parcels included the main cake & a contrasting mini, a set of 3 handmade stitchmarkers, Eucalan sachet and a discount voucher for our Etsy shop.

Self-striping sock yarn club – May

Self striping sock yarn in shades of pale aqua, orange and pink

The colour inspiration for the May parcels was based on the Summer Solstice. Andrew had some colours in mind and then we discovered some lovely soap made by Ruth of Haywood Botanicals and decided they would make the perfect extra gift and colour inspiration!

The yarn base for May was Sherborne Sock, 75% superwash Merino, 25% nylon.

Parcels included the main cake & a contrasting mini, Midsummer Eve handmade soap bar, Eucalan sachet and a discount voucher for our Etsy shop.

Self-striping sock yarn club – March parcel

Our first club parcels were sent out last week. As it’s not long until Easter, we decided to use Cadbury’s creme egg as the colour inspiration (I think Andrew just wanted an excuse to eat some for ‘research’ purposes!)

Parcels included the main cake & a contrasting mini, a pack of Creme eggs (of course!), handwarmer pattern, a cute little sachet of Eucalan and a discount voucher for our Etsy shop.

The next parcels will be sent out in the last week of May. For more information and to sign up, please click here.
